Jessica is a board-certified, dialectical-behavioral, licensed professional counselor serving clients located in Maryland. She prioritizes making clients feel heard, understood, and valid in their emotional experience while working toward teaching them crucial skills such as regulating emotions, helping them explore their obstacles, and holding them accountable to acting on their intentions.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the George Washington University. She gained valuable experience in treating anxiety, mood, substance use disorders, and personality disorders while working at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Jessica has also been trained in dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy through state-government work experience at Calvert Behavioral Health and Greenbelt CARES. She additionally has had a great deal of experience working with first-generation immigrants navigating the challenges of balancing mulitple cultures and individuation.
Her goal for your therapeutic experience is to provide a space to reflect on your thought patterns, feelings, and experiences. She hopes to help you discover parts of who you are to lead your most authentic life. She believes that your mind is the place you always are and wants to work with you to make your mind a peaceful place to be.
