Our therapist specializes in dialectical behavioral therapy, which is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals develop skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to navigate life's challenges.

Initiating change is a difficult process to do alone. Our practice offers you a compassionate guide to reflect with you on the parts of yourself that are challenging to look at, a listening ear to understand your experience, and accountability check-in to remind you of the intentions you have and the life you are building for yourself.

Our Virtual Therapy Sessions

At Intentional Mental Health and Wellness, we offer virtual therapy sessions that are convenient, confidential, and effective. Our therapy sessions are conducted through a secure and user-friendly platform that allows you to connect with our therapist from any location where you have privacy and internet connectivity, whether it's at home, on a lunch break from work, or in your car. We offer individual, family, and group therapy to meet your unique mental health needs. At this time, we do not offer any in-person services. To book your initial session, email 

admin@intentionalmentalhealth.com to complete the intake paperwork and create your account in the patient portal. Please ensure that you are located in Maryland where our clinician is licensed at the time of the appointment and that you have a viable connection to the internet.

What is dialectical behavioral therapy?

Intentional Mental Health and Wellness specializes in individual dialectical behavioral therapy, which is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals develop skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to navigate life's challenges. Each week, you will check in with your therapist on how these skills are being integrated into your life to improve your emotional well-being, relationships, and levels of peace.
